Summer Camp 2013, June 24 – Aug. 16
London Waldorf School’s Summer Camps provide a balanced experience of focus and activity in a way that fosters fun, creativity and a sense of well-being. Your children will be in a harmonious environment where rhythm and structure encourage opportunities for free play, crafts, and a variety of artistic activities.
Junior Camp (Preschool Kindergarten, ages 3 to 5). Full-day program 8:30 – 3:30; half-day program 8:30 – 12 noon. A supportive environment with a variety of activities including singing, circle time, stories, creative play, and outdoor adventure in our naturalized environment. Each week the Junior Campers will explore a different theme: earth, air, water and fire through movement, story and outdoor exploration in our landscaped playground and Gibbons Park.
Senior Arts Camp (Grade School, ages 6 to 11). Full-day program runs 8:30 – 3:30. A week of balanced and age-appropriate activities including art, crafts, creative and dramatic play, and outdoor activities.
June 24 – 28: Mixed Media. Creations will evolve into a name plate, a collage, and much more.

July 2 – 5: Painting and Drawing. Layered painting, action painting, whole-body painting, crayon
drawing and more. With Jeremy Jeresky.
July 8 – 12: Yoga, Crafts, Swordplay. Explore animated poses in nature and create beautiful art
inspired by the elements. Make and decorate your own wooden sword and use it
with a partner. With Lotus Why and Kevin Heckendorn .
July 15 – 19: Mixed Media and Sculpture. Clay sculpting, plaster casting, masks, mixed media
collage, nature showcase, fibre crafts. With Berit Strasser.
July 22 – 28: Swordplay, Crafts, Yoga. Create and decorate a wooden sword and learn an ancient
Chinese partner sword routine. Make art and crafts inspired by the yoga and sword
activities. With Kevin Heckendorn and Lotus Why.
July 29 – Aug. 2: Painting and Drawing. Watercolour and acrylic painting, drawing with charcoal, pencil
crayon and wax crayon. Still life and nature drawing. Painting on various surfaces.

Aug. 5 – 9 Sculpture. Create sculpture using found materials, wire, mixed media, and clay. Make
wind chimes, soft sculptures, and weaving. With Jeremy Jeresky.
Aug. 12 – 16 Theatre and Performance. Become the cast and crew: learn lines, paint murals as a
backdrop for the play, and help with the construction of props in preparation for a
performance Friday afternoon. With Jeremy Jeresky.
