London Waldorf School is thrilled to present "SCREENAGERS: Growing Up in the Digital Age," a documentary about the biggest parenting issue of our time.
As the first generation of parents dealing with the impact of ever-present screen technology, parents today are on their own. This film is for anyone with children in their lives.
Physician and filmmaker Delaney Ruston saw the effects of growing up in the digital age happening with her own kids and began a quest to uncover how it might impact their development. As with her other two award-winning documentaries on mental health, Ruston takes a deeply personal approach as she probes into the vulnerable corners of family life, including her own, to explore struggles over social media, video games, academics and internet addiction. Through poignant, and unexpectedly funny stories, along with surprising insights from authors, psychologists, and brain scientists, SCREENAGERS reveals how tech time impacts kids’ development and also offers solutions on how adults can empower their kids to best navigate the digital world to find balance.
Shown on Wednesday April 11, 2018, at 6:30 pm at London Waldorf School, 7 Beaufort Street. $10 tickets are available at londonwaldorf.ca/screenagers . (519) 858-8862.
Drawing with Intuition Part One Continued Classes - Beyond the Door
Our intuition holds the key to the unique way we relate to the world and to our own voice. Through a series of targeted drawing exercises, this course gradually builds up an ability to access one’s own intuitive mode of consciousness, which holds the key to one’s own individual style. The continued classes focus on further explorations of connections between marks and our intuitive knowledge. Participation is open to all levels. The introductory course “Drawing with Intuition: Part One” is recommended but not necessary.
